Liberal Democrats on Islington Council's Health Committee are warning that the fate of the Finsbury Health Centre must be decided urgently by the Government - and not left for a David Cameron Conservative Government to make the final decision. The Liberal Democrats have slammed Labour Ministers for leaving its future hanging in the balance, and called for a last-minute reprieve for the historic centre.

Local Lib Dems have been working hard to save the Whittington. Parliamentary campaigners Rhodri Jamieson-Ball and Bridget Fox have been collecting signatures from local people opposing the cuts that threaten vital services at the Whittington hospital. They led a group of campaigners to Number 10 Downing Street today to present the petition with the first 2000 signatures to the Government.

Bridget Fox says Put it Right!

Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Campaigner Bridget Fox visited UNICEF today to hear about their campaign to make the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child part of UK law. The UK agreed with the United Nations on the document, which promises a better life for every child, but has yet to make it legislation, where it could really make a difference for children and young people in the UK.
